We’re glad you’re here.
Who We Are
At Nova Mental Wellness, we believe mental health care can be a place for new beginnings. Nova means “new” in Latin-a reflection of our belief that change is possible, and that finding the right path forward can begin at any point in life.
We are a mental health practice led by a psychiatric nurse practitioner, providing thoughtful, individualized care rooted in both science and compassion. We believe medication should never be about simply writing a prescription. Understanding why a medication is being recommended, how it works, what to expect, and how it fits into the bigger picture of your mental health is an important part of care. We value education, collaboration, and making sure you feel informed and empowered in every decision.
Our goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward feeling more like yourself again.

our process
Initial Evaluation
The first appointment will be approximately 60-75 minutes and will focus on getting to know your medical and psychiatric history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Together, we will discuss how medication, when clinically indicated, may support your mental health and overall quality of life. Education is an important part of care at Nova Mental Wellness, and we will take time to explain what medications do, how they may help, potential benefits and risks, and what options feel like the best fit for you.
personalized plan
If medication is started, treatment is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and preferences. We also explore non-pharmacological approaches that may support your mental health and overall well-being. At Nova Mental Wellness, we believe treatment is most effective when it is collaborative, evidence-based, and centered around you.
ongoing support
Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled 4 weeks after your initial evaluation. During these visits, we will review your symptoms, discuss any medication effects or side effects, and determine the best path forward based on your progress and goals. We also remain available through portal messaging, phone support, and email if questions or concerns arise or if an appointment is needed sooner.
